Walk-ins, every night
All twelve bar seats and the four-seat chef’s counter are held for walk-ins. Give us your name and number at the door and we’ll text you when a seat opens.
Early fire at the bar

Getting here
Park once, walk a block.
Parking
Metered spots line University Avenue, and there’s free street parking on the side streets if you don’t mind a short walk. Read the posted signs, since hours vary block to block.
Public garage
The North Park public parking garage on 29th Street is a few minutes’ walk away and is the easiest option on Friday and Saturday nights.
Bus
MTS buses run along University Avenue, with stops a short walk from our door.
Rideshare & bikes
Ask to be dropped on Ray Street, just south of University. There’s a bike rack out front.

Before you come.
Do I need a reservation?
Not for the bar or the chef’s counter; those are walk-in only. For a table on Friday or Saturday, booking ahead is a good idea. Reservations open 30 days out.
What if I need to cancel?
Cancel or change your booking up to 24 hours ahead at no charge. After that, or if you don’t show, we charge $25 per guest, because that table was held for you.
How many people can you seat?
Book online for up to eight. For nine or more, call us and we’ll work out the best way to seat you, usually at our long table by the oven.
Can you handle allergies and dietary needs?
Yes. Add it to your reservation and tell your server. Much of the menu is gluten-free or vegetarian as written, and the kitchen will tell you plainly when a dish can’t be adjusted safely.
Is there a dress code?
No. Come as you are.
Are kids welcome?
Yes, especially at the early seatings. We have high chairs and can make a plain pizza or buttered pasta.
Is the restaurant accessible?
The entrance is step-free, the dining room is on one level, and the restroom is accessible. The bar seats are stool height, so ask for a table if you’d prefer a regular chair.
Can I bring my own wine?
Yes. Corkage is $30 per bottle, up to two bottles per table.
